Sam

Where does a friendship begin? Sam and I crossed paths on a trip to Palm Springs. From there, we became friends through art and architecture.

In the mountains water fills up hidden creeks. Beauty that feels both intimate and untouched. If you know where to look you will find people enjoying this sacred space nude.

I knew Sam would embrace the idea with his natural curiosity and openness. I revealed little while being guided by my intuition.

As we finally made it to site the sun was already low. It had been months since I’d last been here, and we struggled to find the right path. There was a race against the sun. You do not want to be out here with black bears, mountain lions, or bobcats at night.

This work holds deep meaning for me. I initially released versions, testing the waters, and, after time, I found a way for Gay Tv to be shown publicly. I hope that some can connect to the journey, perhaps even catching a glimpse of how I see beauty and the world around us.

My first experience here was one with reverence. If a place holds meaning now, it would have been important to the original inhabitants. The past, present, and future Tongva people.
